My ex-girlfriend/wife and I started watching Bob’s Burgers quite a few years ago. Tina has always been one of our favorite characters. When I was building the The Legend of Zelda mosaic, she wanted to build one just to say she did. Tina was the result.
Lunchbox had no frame of reference of how difficult it is to find a suitable image, scale it, pixelize it, and import it into MLCad. But, I think that the process gave her a new found respect for my hobby.
I built the pattern for her in January 2016. I had most of the pieces in my extra parts bin, but it wasn’t until December of 2016 that we acquired all the pieces and she finally got around to building it.
Tina is composed of 500 pieces, or 3,720 studs. She is 11.25″ (28.6 cm) wide by 1′-2.4″ (36.5 cm) tall. She is currently sitting on the floor of our lego room, propped up against a shelf. We plan to move eventually, so, at that point, she’ll get a place of her own on the wall.
