Here’s some detail on my GIANT Lego Mosiac of The Legend of Zelda start screen. It’s built and hanging on my wall!

Starting Image

This is a pretty simple starting image. You can either take a screen shot from an emulator or find it on the internet. This is the screen that comes up when you turn on The Legend of Zelda for the NES. This is a one pixel to one brick rendition of the thing. Hope you enjoy!

Importing to MLCad

I did import this into MLCad to get a piece count and to settle on colors. I used tan for the background rather than peach because it is more available in bricks.

Some interesting info. I built this pattern in December of 2009 and built it throughout 2013. It took a long time and I was kinda lazy about it. But, I got it done. It has 5,715 pieces or 19,136 studs. It is 4′-9.5″ (146 cm) wide by 2′-8.5″ (82.5 cm) tall. BIG.

Here’s a YouTube review I did of the final product. I’m extremely happy with it and love looking at it every time I go upstairs.
